Because messages encrypted using S/MIME aren’t indexed by Exchange Search, In-Place eDiscovery doesn’t search these messages. If you select the option to include unsearchable items in search results, these S/MIME encrypted messages are copied to the discovery mailbox.

Yes Skype is going EOL (end-of-life) and Teams is being introduced, but it is not a true replacement. It is built on Skype technology but as mentioned, it includes much more.
Skype was a chat application that included voice capabilities. Teams is a more collaborative tool.

When I mention that it is not replacing Skype, I say it that way because Teams is much more than just Skype. Skype is being discontinued but the functionality is built into Teams.
